Mint Group Recognized with eDeaf Pioneer Partner Award for Decade-Long Commitment to Deaf Learners

Johannesburg, South Africa – September 29, 2025 – Mint Group is proud to announce that it has been honored with the eDeaf Pioneer Partner Award during Deaf Awareness Month 2025. This award recognizes Mint Group’s sustained commitment to empowering youth within the Deaf community through education and skills development.

For the past 10 years, Mint Group has sponsored 10 deaf learners annually, supporting a total of 100 learners in partnership with eDeaf. This milestone reflects the organization’s dedication to creating inclusive opportunities and equipping young people with the tools to thrive in both their personal and professional lives.

“At Mint Group, we believe inclusion is not a project, but a long-term commitment. This recognition from eDeaf is a reminder of the positive change that’s possible when we invest in people and open doors for new opportunities,” said Lauren Clark, Head of People, Mint Group.

The Pioneer Partner Award highlights not only Mint Group’s contribution, but also the transformative impact of sustained collaboration with organizations like eDeaf, who are dedicated to advancing education, training, and workplace readiness for the Deaf community.

“Over the last 18 years, eDeaf have continued to strive to educate and empower the Deaf community of South Africa. Through partnership, and vision of a more inclusive South Africa, Mint Technologies has, since 2013 been a pioneer, supporting the first group of 10 learners that has supported eDeaf and created a better future for thousands more Deaf youth in our country. It is no surprise that they were awarded the eDeaf Pioneer Partner award – a shining testament to their vision –  “create tomorrow”, a vision that has seen many Deaf individuals dream and create a better tomorrow for themselves, thanks to Mint Technologies. By bridging the Deaf and hearing worlds through sponsorships of learnerships, they have helped turn barriers into possibilities. We look forward to many more years of partnership and continuing to empower the Deaf youth of tomorrow.” - Nazereen Captieux-Bhana, Co-Founder eDeaf

This recognition reflects Mint Group’s broader commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), which is woven into the company’s purpose of enabling transformation through technology, people, and innovation.
